About MP Law Commission

Madhya Pradesh Law Commission  was constituted by notification F. No. 1599-XXI-B(2)-2018 . The Commission consists of Chairperson, One full-time Member Secretary and Two part time Members. Law Commission is constituted with the object to examine the State Acts of general application and importance and to suggest the outline on the basis of which such Acts may be amended, revised, consolidated or up-dated, to make suggestion regarding the revision of the laws, improvement in Judicial administration and improvement in recruitment system of judicial officers, imparting of legal education and standard of legal practitioners. The Commission on its own may also submit reports on the above matters, if any public interest is involved.

Hon. Justice (Retired) Shri Ved Prakash has been appointed as full time Chairperson of the Madhya Pradesh Law Commission. He has assumed charge of the office on 01.06.2018.
